A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOU AND YOUR MINISTRY
Today is a beautiful day 12/1024
The number 10 is the Hebrew letter YOD in the Hebrew Alphabet.
Yod means: The right hand of God with authority.
In English, we see something and that is what it means. For example, a pen. If I show someone a pen and ask them, what do you see? They will say a pen. Not in Hebrew. In Hebrew, they always see the function of the object. IN HEBREW, WHEN YOU SHOW THEM A PEN, THEY SEE DIFFERENT. SO, THEY WOULD SAY: I SEE A WRITING, POETRY, A BOOK, A LETTER, ETC
And because people need their hands to write. So in Hebrew one would not look at one thing without the other. And is this way that God sees us. We need His hand, and He need us to write His stories.
In Psalm 138:7 says: Though I am surrounded by troubles,
you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand,
and the power of your right hand saves me. (This ‘power of your right hand’ is what the letter Yod represents.) In Psalm 139: 9-10 says: If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will take hold of me.
However sometimes we use our hands, and it does not mean anything. Stretching out your arms with your hands for example: A person can stretch out a flag with his arm just for movement, but without meaning. Others do it with a meaning to praise God. Or I can just stretch out my arms to exercise.
But our hands are to have meaning. Think about two things:
1- What are you stretching out your arms for? To give, to bless, to anoint, to praise?
2- Or are you doing things like hitting, hurting or other bad things, or always taking?
The Psalm of the Hebrew Letters in the part of the letter Yod it says: 'With your very own hands you formed me; now breathe your wisdom over me so I can understand you. Psalm 119:73'
So, we need the wisdom of God to know how to use our hands.
The letter Yod spells with 3 letters Yod, Vav and Dalet, יוֹד
Yod is a spiritual letter connected to the father. Vav is a physical letter meaning nail. And the letter of humanity, also it means connector/hook (representing Jesus as a man-Yeshua and Dalet is a physical and spiritual door (also representing the eternal door). Therefore, Yod is God creating the world with His right hand and connecting humanity through the nail that leads us to the eternal door. So Yod is the power of God connecting heaven and earth through the nail to enter the door.
YOD IS MENTIONED IN THE NT WHEN JESUS MENTIONED IT. In Matthew 5:18
‘Yeshua said: For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is fulfilled’
Jesus was talking about the letter Yod because the letter yod is the first dot we make to write anything. Because in Hebrew every time you make a dot with a pen it is a Yod. And Yod is the smallest letter in the Alphabet. The entire Torah is connected through a Yod number 10. So you can imagined what Jesus was talking about. (Long Study here)
The word Yod came from the word Yad which means hand. YAD is written with just Yod and Dalet. Each letter in Hebrew has a numerical value of the letter and the spelling of the letter. The numerical value of the word Yad-hand is 14. (Yod is the number 10 and Dalet is the number 4=14.)
NOW SEE HOW VERY SPECIAL YOU ARE TO GOD!
We have 2 hands, and each has 5 fingers, but each finger has 3 bones called phalanges. Each finger has 3 phalanges, except the thumb, which has 2 phalanges. So when you add up all the phalanges the result is 14 in each hand.
The number 14 is the same numerical value as the word hand in Hebrew-Yad. So when GOD created you, He made sure that each of your hand had the same number as His mighty hand Yad. The power of God is in your hand. So now you will see how God protects you with the hand of God that created the world. And it is the same hand that the Bible says: 'Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me.'
Ask God to reveal to you how He can use you as His pen that your hand holds to write His story. And now when you sing or dance a song that talks about praise God or lift your hands to God, or wave a flag know that your hands are very special to God because it matches the hand of God 'YOD'
(As a bonus I tell you that Yod is in the middle of the name Yeshua in Hebrew and the name Yeshua is written in our right hand by the design of our hand but that is another writing)
